Submitting An Event to the Community Calendar


All submissions will be reviewed before posting to the city's Community Calendar. The city has the discretion to determine which public events will be included in the calendar. The events should provide entertainment, food or other attractions to a diverse population, and promote the economic benefits of tourism or enhance the quality of life of the community. All events must be open to the general public (for free or cost), located within the City of Greenville and organized for non-profit purposes.

Scheduled to begin Monday, July 17 and continue to the year's end, the project includes upgrading the sanitary sewer lines from N. Markley Street to River Street and upgrading the stormwater system from N. Markley Street to Ferguson Street. Stormwater improvements will also continue down Ferguson Street to Logan Street and Crook Street at the Merrill Gardens development. 

The work will require the road be closed to thru traffic, which will be limited to a block at a time. Work hours will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and detours will be posted.
